KRILA-GRIPS 17th Regional Policy Research Workshop

Korea Research Institute for Local Administration(KRILA) hosted the 17th Korea-Japan Regional Policy Research Workshop with the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies(GRIPS). The workshop took place in Okayama, Japan. It was co-hosted by Okayama city this time under the theme of “Sustainable Local Communities: Expansion of  Renewable Energy and eco-friendly policy” on May. 30, 2017.

In the opening ceremony,the vice-chancellor, Yokomichi Kiyotaka delivered welcoming remarks and the president of the KRILA, Yun Tae-beom gave a speech in response.

 

The president of KRILA encouraged to share the experiences in Korea on managing challenges of sustainble develpment through his speech.

 

The workshop consisted of two sessions including each thematic presentaions and a discussion and many important issues such as the use of renewable energy to promote sustainability, implementing eco-friendly policy, and energy saving measures were discussed.
