The Impact of both the Possibility of Selection and Accessibility to Social Services on Service Effectiveness: Focusing on the Differences by Social Service Categoriesdownload
Accessibility to social services has been emphasized in the context of ‘strengthening publicity strategy’while the possibility of selection has been discussed in the context of ‘service marketization.’ However, both accessibility and the possibility of selection are important characteristics for service users. Therefore this study tries to analyse those relationships utilizing [2019 social service demand and supply survey].
Major findings are as follows. First, accessibility to social services has more substantial impact on service effectiveness than the possibility of selection. Second, four out of nine categories of social services show that both accessibility and the possibility of selection have the same impacts on service effectiveness in terms of the direction. Third, for the particular types of social services, only accessibility or the possibility of selection have an influence on service effectiveness.
